Public Concerns
The following issues concern the average voter more than the Irish Government
Mission statement - Keep Ireland a good country to live in. Prioritise the rights of indigenous Irish.
1. Personal fear
If you cannot walk in the streets of your town at night, without fear of being mugged, then something is wrong. What candidates are committed to put a stop to it?. Adopt Singaporean hardline against drug users & dealers & violence.
2. Vandalism
If on a Monday morning four plate-glass windows are broken in the shops of the town on a regular basis, then something is wrong. Who is committed to put a stop to it?. United elected candidates can.
3. Immigrants
All immigrants awaiting adjudication on their application for asylum, should be allowed to take up working positions after twelve weeks. The work performance should provide the decision makers with merit points.
An annual cap of 80,000.
4. Physical violence - Physical jail sentences.
Those who engage in physical violence and are charged twice in the Courts should be obliged for three years after adjudication on the offence to sign on in Garda stations weekly.
Employ them as free labour to build the new jails.
5. Accountability - Publish monthly attendance
All MEPs should publish and formally submit to Dail Eireann their individual voting preferences and performance relating to EU legislation.
6. TV & Internet violence
Strong action to remove gratuitous violence from screens.
Do we as a nation have to continue to endure excessive exposure to almost continuous gratuitous violence on TV ?. This exposure initiates Irish home grown violence and destroys children. The Dail and European Union must address this urgently. Develop an EU TV culture. We need a Taoiseach with real bottle.
7. Sleeping rough
1,500 persons are still sleeping rough in Dublin eventhough the country is supposed to be "awash with money". A rapid response programme to resolve this problem is required by the people of Ireland as a priority at least equal to the accommodation availability for all other minority groupings.
8. Irish Emigrants
Driven our by Poverty Ireland up to 1985.
Irish emigrants forced to emigrate prior to 1990, when there was no work available in Ireland, should be encouraged to return home on the basis of tax free income at the rate of one year for every four years spent abroad. This will show -
A. That we really care about out exiles.
B. That Ireland can profit from their international experience.
Irish revenue is anti repatriation of Irish emigrants.
Is that why J McManus lives in Geneva & Old Smurfit was buried in the Isle of Man for tax advantage.
9. Palestine
All TDs & the government must agree to continue to protest at Israeli invasion & mis-treatment of Palestinians.
Irish shoppers should boycott stores with Israeli food products.
Israel is the Cromwell of the Middle East.
10. The Irish Constitution must be paramount.
Irish citizens rely on the Irish constitution. Do not let anyone alter it by deception or treachery.
Look out for Irish quislings canvassing for EU Constitution.
11. Greenhouse Effect is here.
Strong statesman like actions necessary.
Prioritise reduction of energy consumption.
Insulate all houses properly.
Greenhouse tax of 10c per litre on all car petrol and diesel to develop public transport & reduce traffic congestion.
12 Restore Irish Agriculture
Privatise Teagasc & reduce form filling by 50%.
Europe will be short of both fresh food and water before 2015.
